Is it good?
William Bourdon has put efforts and engineered a sophisticated ready game. What makes it successful? It is very easy to use for such a solid adventure game with built-in features. Well, as a top-performing game with an overall rating of 4.82 I can only add what people who have tried it are saying.
Easily my favorite game on the App Store! I just have a few small issues.
Missions where you have to defend the generator are pretty tough on legendary. Elites shred through its health, making groups of elites horrifying when you’re low on ammo. When I try to leave to get some extra ammo, I have to watch the generator’s health vanish in those quick seconds.
The only other issue I have is the shotgun on higher difficulties. Using it for any boss or brute groups is a bit of a suicide mission due to its range and damage. While it works wonders on groups of jackals and grunts, trying to use it on bosses makes the gun pretty underwhelming.
Besides that, everything else is great, especially with those Reach helmets! Some Reach shoulder pads would definitely be worth grinding for too...
I’m really surprised at the quality detail of the Covenant characters and the variety of having the same enemies with different weapons and canon colors. While the sounds of a lot of things can’t be true to form, such as the AR firing sounds used from Halo CE being used for the AR instead of from a later game, I highly appreciate the choices taken to make this game absolutely FUN. And my biggest gripe, is that this mobile game has BETTER and AMAZING customization options than Infinite does. It’s absolutely heart breaking but very satisfying because this is what Halo fans WANT and NEED. Do yourself a favor and support the devs who made this mobile version of the Firefight gamemode. They knocked it out of the park in terms of fun and player personalization.
