Is it good?
Duolingo, Inc has put efforts and engineered a sophisticated lessons app. What makes it successful? It is very easy to use for such a solid education app with built-in learn features. Well, as a top-performing app with an overall rating of 4.71 I can only add what people who have tried it are saying.
I love Duolingo, but I can’t stand the child’s voice and one particular man’s voice. The child’s voice is often unintelligible while accompanied by poor audio. The man’s voice I mentioned is ridiculously fast for students who are trying to learn proper pronunciation of a new language. I often have to intentionally fail the lessons to find out what these two are saying. There is a woman’s voice used for the majority of the examples in the comment section that is clear and articulate. I always listen to her example to practice my pronunciations. The comment section is closed. It is helpful to read the comments, but it is impossible to ask questions or leave new comments. I highly recommend Duolingo as a beginner language course.
Update, Duolingo starts out promising, but once you get past the basics you’ll soon find yourself translating random sentences that lack any sort of conversational context. Duolingo is a game designed to keep you engaged. There are much better apps for learning languages that will teach you to speak conversationally. Duolingo is not one of them. That being said, I still participate in Duolingo daily, but I’ve made astounding progress using another app after over 225 days of Duolingo that taught me nothing about having basic everyday conversations. It’s like doing a crossword puzzle. You learn a lot of words without engaging in any sort of conversation. Isn’t having conversations what language is all about?
Duolingo is an AWESOME game! All my friends had it, they were learning different languages all the time so I decided to give it a go. At first it was very frustrating so I just stopped playing it, one day I was on the Airplane and since I had no Wi Fi, I only had a couple of games to play. I was scrolling threw my phone and found Duolingo, and it took me a while to realize that it’s OK and I needed to try again. Everyone at first while learning a new language is a bit uncomfortable to it. So I chose some languages that I wanted to learn (Spanish and Mandarin). Not to lie, I had to google some to find the definition. But googling them and cheating actually helped me, it made my brain focus on the ones I didn’t really understand, and once googling them and knowing the definition, it stuck like glue in my head. (Seriously, I said words in Spanish daily for no reason). Once I warmed up to it, and never gave up on my 2nd try, I was a Duolingo fanatic!! I played it for about 2 hours a day. I got more hearts, gems, and my parents even let me get Duolingo PLUS!!!! 🥳Even though, I felt so mad at myself at first because all my friends knew languages and I didn’t, its just because of me not trying again and focusing enough. This is really an awesome game, remember to never give up even though things seem impossible. Great work, Creators!! 👍🏿😝

Step 1: Download the Apple Configurator 2 app to your Mac.
Note that you will need to have macOS 10.15.6 installed.
Step 2: Log in to Your Apple Account.
Now you have to connect Your iPhone to your Mac via USB cable and select the destination folder.
Step 3: Download the Duolingo IPA File.
Now you can access the desired IPA file in the destination folder.
