Fight the social media algorithms and win back control over your phone usage & your subconsciousness!

“one sec” uses Shortcuts Automation to toggle a deep breath animation whenever you open one of the configured apps (Instagram, Twitter, YouTube…). This breaks unconcious social media habits short-term (literally, as soon as you have set it up) and even helps long-term by adding more friction when opening these apps.

Mindfulness is a state of active, open attention on the present: Did you really want to open Instagram? Or was it just because you're bored waiting for your bus?
This app helps you to reflect your actions, thoughts, and feelings; disrupting harmful social media habits with mindfulness.

On top of that, “one sec” also contributes your mindful moments to the Health App via HealthKit.

Is it good?

riedel.wtf GmbH has put efforts and engineered a sophisticated distracting app. What makes it successful? It is very easy to use for such a solid productivity app with built-in apps features. Well, as a top-performing app with an overall rating of 4.85 I can only add what people who have tried it are saying.

I’m optimized. In just a few days I’ve noticed my habits and begun to effective adjust. Of course it takes time to fully acclimate but my life is better for it already. Thank you. You never realize how often you unconsciously go to open an app for absolutely no reason at all…even after you just looked at it for 5-10 minutes. All those minutes add up. I’m taking my life back one prevention at a time. Random app checks to Prevent: - letting the dog out…check apps - sitting on the couch…Hulu ad, check apps - using the bathroom…check apps - see a red notification…gotta check apps even though it’s typically a completely irrelevant notifications - finish checking app, place phone in pocket, boredom kicks in 3 minutes later…check apps
i love this app so much. it’s helping me be more intentional with my time. i’ve gotten into the habit of skipping right past the screen time warning without a second thought, but this app makes you slow down and think about what you’re doing. it can definitely be annoying haha, but that’s a good thing. 10/10 recommend! i also love that it’s free, but you have the option to pay (a small fee) for the advanced features. i also love that you can connect this app with another app i use called structured!
