The good: It’s free and works well for quickly putting your shots of the day together into an easy-to-watch video clip to share with others. Selecting the highlights of your clips is made easy. There are some decent video and photo editing tools that can help you make some minor adjustments to your shots. Abundant music selection is nice.
The bad: It crashes a lot on my iPhone 7 which I suspect is due to some sort of memory issue. Once I restart my iPhone, the app is good to go for another several minutes of editing until it crashes again. Uploading to YouTube has not yet worked for me. The video does upload but then gets stuck in processing limbo where its unwatchable so I end up deleting it and uploading it from PC instead.
Wishlist: I would like to see more video and photo editing tools such as curves editing and color correction. More clip transitions would also be nice!
Allows super easy compilation of great looking videos. Its ease of use and ability to align visual transitions to audio is truly impressive.
Also the current version looks faster and much more stable. Haven’t seen it crashing/ freezing yet.
1) Possibility to add multiple audio (1 after another) to compile longer videos
2) Ability to manually select transitions on top of auto generated video - most of the time the app does it great, but ability to do some manual fine tuning after this would be great
3) more control on duration of photos - “long” sometimes is not long enough
4) “zoom in” animation to a specified object on photo. I think previous version of Quik had this.
